Online and paper survey open until April 3

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - The City of Brandon wants the public's opinion before it makes changes to the current system of street parking.

An online and paper ballot survey has been put in place to ask user, both in and out of the City, about their current use of street parking.  It also asks for feedback on a number of possible changes to the system, such as changes to parking time limits, angle parking, or upgrades to electronic meters allowing credit card payment.

Brandon Downtown Development Corporation Executive Director Elisabeth Saftiuk says the meter will allow the interested agencies of the City the public input they need to make wise decisions.  She notes that downtown redevelopment will put pressure on the current inventory of parking, which will require adjustments to the existing system.

The online survey can be accessed here.

Paper ballots are available at Economic Development Brandon, and the Downtown Development Corporation offices at Brandon City Hall.

The surveys will be accepted until April 3.
