Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - The two senior levels of government are putting money into the the Manitoba Cup Equestrian Competition at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.
Twenty thousand-dollars from the Canadian Agricultural Partnership will support the 2019 and 2020 competitions.
Federal Minister of Agricutlure and Agri-food Marie-Claude Bibeau says the event "showcases equestrian excellence and demonstrates the diversity and economic impact of our agricultural industry."
An additional ten thousand dollars will be provided to the Royal Farm Yard. The 44 thousand square foot Royal Farm Yard is a highlight for families, offering agricultural education, live and animal and cattle shows.
The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair starts March 25 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.
