When Amanda Dupuis heard of Nathan Froese's story she was touched and felt the need to help in any way she could.
Nathan was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in February and mounting medical costs are making for a stressful situation for the Froese family.
"When I heard of Nathan's story I was just compelled to help. I saw their go fund me page online and the cause just really resonated with me and I wanted to offer more help," Dupuis said.
Amanda had set up paint night fundraisers for other causes in the past, the local art teacher says the least she could do would be to set another one up to help out the Froese family.
"I do know Kim (Nathan's mom) a little bit in passing she used to work for 911 and I worked for the firehall so we were connected there, she is just a great person and I was just devastated by their story and I wanted to do what I could," said Dupuis.
Dupuis rented out St. George's Anglican Church which has space for at least 40 people.
"I'll give a quick intro followed by step by step instructions on how to create your painting. Participants at the event will have everything laid out for them and it's just a fun relaxing evening for a good cause," Dupuis.
The Paint Night fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. tonight and there are still a few spots open.
