Suspect hurled weapons at the police truck before spitting on officers

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - A Winnipeg man faces various charges after driving into an RCMP vehicle this past weekend.

It happened Saturday on highway 11 near Lac Du Bonnet.

Police had pulled the truck over after receiving reports that the driver was impaired.

However, the driver hopped back into his vehicle slammed it in reverse and rammed the police truck.

He also allegedly threw a bat and an axe at the RCMP truck but his tirade didn't end there.

Before officers were able to contain and arrest the man, he spit on them.

Bradley Edward Lasko, 42, of Winnipeg is now up on a long list of charges.

Both the RCMP officer and Lasko received minor injuries.
