Ivan Valintine Cesnik faces multiple sexual assault charges in multiple locations

Oakbank, MB (CKLQ) - Oakbank RCMP have arrested a man who was wanted in multiple sexual assaults.

Officials say RCMP arrested Ivan Valintine Cesnik, 57, in Calgary in early January.

He was later transported to Winnipeg to face charges linked to multiple sexual assaults committed on girls as young as seven.

On January 22, 2018, Oakbank RCMP received a report in connection to a sexual assault involving four female victims, three of them aged eight and one aged seven.

After an investigation, RCMP determined that Cesnik had committed the assaults at his residence in Garson in the RM of Brokenhead, and at a rural residence in the RM of Springfield between 2010 and 2015.

Officials say Cesnik moved to Calgary around that time and no longer had contact with his victims.

Cesnik is facing the following charges:

 - Sexual Assault x3

 - Sexual Interference x3

 - Administer Noxious Substance x2

 - Uttering Threats x3

RCMP are concerned there may be more victims in other provinces including Manitoba, Alberta and Kelowna, BC.
