Two people charged with theft

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - An owner of a stolen truck saw that very truck being driven in downtown Brandon and called Brandon Police to take over.

During the evening hours on Wednesday, police got a call from the owner of the stolen truck saying he was watching two people drive it.

Police stopped the vehicle on the 1200 Block of Rosser Avenue, and arrested a man and a woman.

A 24-year-old woman from Virden and 21-year-old man were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Police later found out the woman was responsible for theft from a business on the 3300 Block of Victoria Avenue back on April 4.

The woman will be in court on Thursday, while the man will be going to court in June.

The stolen vehicle, 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, was reported stolen to police on Wednesday afternoon, after it was stolen overnight on the 200 Block of Middleton Avenue.
