Police respond to two more assaults against youth care group home staff

Both incidents happened with an hour and a half of each other


Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Brandon Police have arrested two young girls after two separate assaults on youth care group home staff members.

Police say the first incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a Clement Drive home.

They say a 17-year-old girl slapped one employee and pushed two others.

None of the employees sustained any injuries, and the girl has been charged with three counts of assault.

Later on, at around 12:00 a.m. at a Louise Avenue home, police responded to a panic alarm.

Police say a 17-year-old girl struck a staff member.

The girl was charged for assault, and the staff member sustained no injuries.

Both girls will be in court in June.
