UPDATE: RCMP investigate a string of thefts in Wawanesa

A string of thefts and mischief complaints in Wawanesa has been keeping authorities busy.

It is believed several suspects went on foot through town going through vehicles/sheds/garages stealing vehicle keys and other miscellaneous items. 

At some point two of the suspects stole bicycles to aid them in getting through town until they located a truck with the keys left in the ignition. 

The bicycles were then abandoned in favour of the truck and the suspects left town in the stolen vehicle. 

The truck is described as a 2013 White GMC SIERRA bearing Winnipeg Jets plate WJ8408. 

Anyone who may have seen this truck is encouraged to contact your local Police. 

Information on the thefts and mischiefs can be reported to Blue Hills RCMP - Souris Detachment at 204-483-2854.
