Local businesses to compete for best promotional display

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) -  In the coming days, businesses throughout Brandon will build their Royal Manitoba Winter Fair displays.

There's a few reasons for that.

Ron Kristjansson, General Manager at the Provincial Exhibition says the business sector benefits from the Fair in many ways.  From the hotel rooms and meals it means to the service sector, to the sales of farm equipment and agriservices that happen during the Fair's run, Kristjansson says the regional economy benefits in many ways from the Fair.

For that reason, the Exhibition and Brandon Chamber of Commerce have no trouble getting businesses to get involved in promoting the event, providing materials for event displays.

As added motivation, the two bodies have sponsored a contest to further encourage businesses to build bigger and better displays.  The "Winter Fair Fever" Campaign offers a grand prize of a "Fair VIP Experience" for the best, and best promoted via social media, Fair display.

The context rules are at www.royalmanitobawinterfair.com, as is all the information for this year's fair, which starts March 25 at the Keystone Centre.
