Swan River, MB (CKLQ) – Team Quebec, skipped by Robert Dejardins, is still undefeated after the first day of the Championship Pool at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championships in Swan River.
They won two low-scoring games, beating Northern Ontario 4-2, and then beating Nova Scotia 3-2.
All four teams are already decided in to go to the playoffs on Saturday, as Quebec sits at the top with an 8-0 record, Ontario and New Brunswick tied for second with a 7-1 record, and Newfoundland and Labrador in fourth with a 6-2 record.
All Championship pool teams still have two games left, with just seeding needing to be decided.
All four teams will play against each other in Draw 13 and 15 on Friday. Quebec will take on New Brunswick, and Ontario plays Newfoundland and Labrador at 10am.
At 7pm, Ontario takes on Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador plays New Brunswick.
The semi-finals on Saturday will be played at 10am, with the gold and bronze medal game to be played at 3pm.
