Three arrested on drug possession and weapons charges

Downtown vehicle stop yields bear spray and meth


Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Three men are facing weapons and trafficking charges after an early morning vehicle bust in Brandon.

Police say they stopped a vehicle in the downtown on 10th Street around 1:30 a.m..  Inside the vehicle was a canister of bear mace and a quantity of methamphetamine.

A 25-year-odl Bird Tail man has been charged with breach of recognizance, possessing a weapon for dangerous purpose, and two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

A 38-year-old Brandon man has been charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of breach of recognizance, and two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

Another 38-year-old Brandon man has been charged with breach of undertaking, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
