Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon Wheat Kings have unveiled their 2018-19 regular season schedule.
The schedule will begin with a home and home series with the defending Eastern Division pennant winning Moose Jaw Warriors, beginning with the hockey club’s Home Opener on Friday, September 21.
The two teams will then face off the following night in Moose Jaw.
Of Brandon’s 34 regular season home games, 26 will be played on weekends and holidays.
The Wheat Kings will play thirteen Friday night home games, nine on Saturdays, two more on Sundays, one on Monday and another on Thursday.
Rounding out the home schedule will be four Tuesdays and four Wednesday night games.
The Wheat Kings will bring the curtain down on the 2017-18 regular season with a home an home series with the Regina Pats on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
Brandon will play Regina and Moose Jaw a total of eight games this year.
The Wheat Kings will face Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Swift Current six times each.
They will play all Central Division clubs twice at Westoba Place and twice away from home.
For Western Conference teams, all United States based teams will be playing in Brandon this year, while the Wheat Kings will head to the coast to take on BC Division teams.
