Man blocked traffic Saturday morning, uttering threats to kill

Bradnon, MB (CKLQ) - A man and a woman from Brandon are facing charges after a strange incident this past weekend north of Grand Rapids.

Around 9 a.m. Saturday, RCMP got a report of a man standing in the middle of Highway 6 threatening to shoot people, and uttering threats.

The man was acting so erratically a number of semi-truck drivers blocked off the Highway until the RCMP could arrive.

At one point the man allegedly punched and pounded his head against a truck window, while threatening the driver inside.

Officers were eventually able to arrest the man.  No weapon was found.

The suspect's car was found a kilometer away, as was a traveling companion.  Police found methamphetamine, other illegal drugs and a knife at the car.

44-year-old Raymond Vidler of Brandon faces multiple charges.

A 42-year-oldBbrandon woman was arrested.  Charges are pending.
