The first case of COVID-19 has been identified in the Prairie Mountain Health Region.
PMH says to protect a person's privacy, they do not release the exact location of patients in smaller communities, and anyone who's considered a close contact of a positive case will be notified directly by public health officials.
At Brandon's designated testing site, a total of 159 people have been tested for COVID-19 as of March 25th.
Manitoba health officials announced 14 new provincial cases Wednesday, bringing the total up to 35.
They say, of the latest cases, there's a Winnipeg woman in her 60's who's in critical condition, a Winnipeg girl under age 10, and a health-care worker, who was not on the job when they were infectious with the virus.
Health officials believe all the new cases are travel-related, and also say social distancing could be in place for months.
