One new cases identified in the Prairie Mountain Health region
The province is reporting 17 new COVID-19 cases, increasing Manitoba's total to 1,466.
Of the new cases; one is in the Prairie Mountain Health region, one in Interlake, two in the Southern Health region, and 13 in Winnipeg.
Health officials say 269 cases are active, 25 of which are are in Brandon. There are 12 people currently in hospital, three of which are in intensive care and 1,181 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, one case identified today is a health-care worker connected to the outbreak at Bethesda Place in Steinbach. There are now 14 cases - eight staff and six residents. Case investigations continue and if a public health risk is identified, the public will be notified.
Public health officials are also advising of two possible exposures, one at St. Aidans Christian School and Actionmarguerite care home, both places are located in Winnipeg.
The province continues to strongly encourage Manitobans to focus on the fundamentals to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This means staying home if you are sick, washing/sanitizing your hands, covering your cough and physically distancing when you are with people outside your household. If you cannot physically distance, wear a mask.
