UPDATE: RCMP have arrested an 18-year-old male in connection with this home invasion and he remains in police custody at this time.

ORIGINAL MEDIA RELEASE: On June 6, 2023, at approximately 1:55 am, Wasagaming RCMP received a complaint of a home invasion at an address located on 2nd Street NW in Erickson, Manitoba.
Officers arrived at the home and located a 30-year-old female victim with significant, but non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital and later transferred to Winnipeg, where she remains in stable condition.
The male suspect, who fled the scene prior to police arrival, is not known to the victim.
Although no arrest has been made at this time, RCMP believe there is no threat to the public and are working diligently to locate and apprehend the suspect.
