18 new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region
The province has identified 30 new COVID-19 cases increasing Manitoba's total to 474.
Of those new cases; 18 are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, 11 in the Southern Health region, and one in Winnipeg.
Health officials say the number of active cases has risen to 118, 10 people are currently in the hospital, and five are in intensive care. The number of deaths due to the virus remains at eight, 348 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, health officials are reporting that the 18 new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region are connected to a cluster in the area.
Public health officials are also advising that potential exposure to the virus may have occurred on Air Canada flight AC 8595 from Montreal to Winnipeg (rows 16 to 22) on July 29.
Individuals in the affected seats on these flights are advised to self-isolate for 14 days following the flight and monitor for symptoms. Passengers on these flights, but not in the affected seats, should self-monitor for symptoms and self-isolate if they develop.
