The Brandon Police Sevice has announced its Halloween 'Monster Mash' has been cancelled for the second year in a row.
Tough COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines currently in place are the reasons - the same issues that forced the event's cancellation at Brandon's Keystone Centre in 2020.
The 'Monster Mash' gives students, who may otherwise be on the street, a safe, fun and free place to gather for Halloween. Since its inception, Brandon police say incidents of vandalism in the city have significantly been reduced on Halloween night.
In 2019, over 500 students took part in the event.
