Brandon police locate vehicle stolen from Thunder Bay, Ont.

Officers also dealing with another break-in, and multiple intoxicated people

Brandon police have safely located a vehicle that was stolen from Thunder Bay in the 300 block of 7th Street on Wednesday (July 28).

A 40-year-old man from Westman was arrested in connection with the theft and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday (July 29).

On July 28, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a storage building at a business in the 100 block of 17th street N. Suspects entered the building by forcing the lock during the previous two weeks. Stolen were a set of winter tires. On July 28, 2021, shortly before 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated man in the 900 block of Rosser Ave. The 40-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself and had nobody else to look after him. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On July 29, 2021, shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a woman screaming in the 600 block of McTavish Ave. Police located the 24-year-old who was alone and had nowhere to go. She was in no condition to care for herself. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On July 28, 2021 shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. Police located an intoxicated 28-year-old man who was the cause of the issues. To prevent his behavior from escalating further, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On July 29, 2021, at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence. Family members were unable to prevent an intoxicated 25-year-old man's behavior from escalating.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On July 28, 2021, police located and arrested a 42-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Attend Court. He was later released to appear in court on October 21, 2021.

On July 28, 2021, police located and arrested a 47-year-old woman who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under $5000, Fail to comply with Undertaking and Fail to Attend Court. She was later released to appear in court on October 21, 2021.
