A local realtor, Tammy Waterfield, has decided to put her crafting skills to good use during COVID-19 and is producing face masks for others.

With mixed messaging about whether or not masks are needed these times, safety was the reason she started making them, "I thought I'd rather have one on and not need it, than not have one and need it."

However, they were initially going to be just Easter gifts for family members she said,"It was going to be a gag basically with the gloves and say change is the times people, you're not getting chocolate."

As word has started to spread around the city, it has made life a bit busier. Enter Tammy's daughter and sister who are now helping with cutting and as they're trying to sew them as quickly as possible.

As of Friday (Apr 17) she says they've made over 200 masks. If you' like one you can send Tammy a message through her Facebook page or by phone 204-573-8012.
