MB RCMP receive over 230 COVID-19 related calls last week

Nov. 14 to Nov. 20 - 16 warnings and 24 fines issued

Manitoba RCMP received 236 calls between November 14 to 20 of people failing to comply with COVID-19 health guidelines. 

Officers say of those calls, 16 resulted in verbal warnings and 24 fines were handed out.

The fines included;

- November 14, Norway House RCMP fined an adult male for more than 5 people gathered
- November 15, Cross Lake RCMP fined an adult female for being with someone not from her household
- November 15, Steinbach RCMP fined an adult female for not self-isolating as directed
- November 16, Gillam RCMP served a fine to a business on behalf of the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority
- November 17, Fisher Branch RCMP fined an adult female for not self-isolating as directed
- November 17, Norway House RCMP fined an adult female for more than 5 people gathered
- November 18, The Pas RCMP fined an adult female for more than 5 people gathered
- November 19, Fisher branch RCMP fined an adult male for not self-isolating as directed
- November 20, The Pas RCMP fined 7 adults at a gathering 
- November 20, The Pas RCMP had to attend a second time to the same gathering and fined the same 7 adults as well as 2 additional adults

Since April 9th, the Manitoba RCMP has issued 137 warnings and 75 fines.
