Manitoba First Nation Police are investigating a pedestrian-vehicle collision Monday evening that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.
Officers say they were called to the scene on Highway 45, southeast of Russell, where the victim was struck by a semi.
Police say the driver of the semi, a 35-year-old man from Rossburn, initially left the scene, but later returned. He has been arrested and faces a charge of failing to stop after an accident causing death.
The suspect was released and is to appear in court at a later date.
