Manitoba Junior Hockey League set to begin regular season on Friday

League has made several changes in response to COVID-19

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League's 2020-21 season officially gets underway this weekend with a full slate of games. 

However, the league, which features teams from Virden, Neepawa, Dauphin, and Waywayseecappo, has implemented a few rule changes this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The biggest, is in regards to the regular season schedule, that has been modified from years past, in an effort to keep everyone involved safe and healthy. 

The league says the majority of games are scheduled to take place on the weekends beginning this Friday, October 9th and ending on March 13th. Teams will be placed into three four-team divisions to allow for a variety of reasons which include less travel for teams, and limiting the risk of exposure between teams.
