The Vikings show off their second banner of the 2014 season.

The Vincent Massey Vikings completed a season sweep of high school baseball titles on Friday.
Marshal Burgess scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as Vincent Massey edged the Boissevain Broncos 3-2 in the Prairie West High School Baseball League championship game.
Burgess alertly tagged and scored from third base on a pop-up in front of the first base dugout, with the Broncos failing to cover home plate after their catcher, pitcher and first baseman all converged on the foul ball.
"In a game like this, you have to be ready for anything," said Burgess afterward, "When you see an opportunity like that, you just have to pounce on it and I guess we did."
Burgess also pitched three scoreless innings in relief of starter Clark Whelpton, but had to work out of jams in each of those three innings to preserve a 2-2 tie.
"I obviously didn't have my best stuff, but my defence helped me out there," said Burgess, "When you have defence like that, it's pretty easy to throw strikes because you have confidence in what's behind you.  You don't have to pitch around people, just give them strikes and let the D help you out."
Friday's victory allowed the Vikings to repeat as PWHSBL champions but also gave them a season sweep of titles.
Vincent Massey also won the Provincial MHSAA Baseball crown last Saturday, beating Boissevain the semifinals on there way to that title.
"Last year, when we lost in the quarters and won this, it felt good but it wasn't quite the same," said Burgess, "This year, when we do it both, it's a great feeling, great feeling as a team.  We all came out ready to go today and all weekend so I think we well-deserved that."
Jay Pringle tossed a complete-game one-hitter in a losing cause for Boissevain in Fridays final.
The semifinals saw the Vikings defeat the Virden Golden Bears and the Broncos upend the Dauphin Clippers.
