Province announces 36 new COVID-19 cases

Four new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region

The province is reporting 36 new cases of COVID-19 increasing Manitoba's total to 2,029

Of the new cases four are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, two in the Interlake Health region, two in Southern Health, and 28 in the Winnipeg region. 

Active cases in Prairie Mountain Health sit at 15, only three in Brandon, across Manitoba there are 621. Health officials say there are currently 15 people in hospital including seven in the ICU, and 1,388 people have recovered. 

Meanwhile, the province is reporting a second case of the virus at Carberry Collegiate. The person was at the school on September 21. No close contacts have been identified and the infection was not acquired at school. 

In addition, health officials are advising of possible exposures at a subway, 200 First Ave. in Carberry on September 26 from approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
