The Canadian Red Cross has opened the call for nominations for its annual Manitoba Humanitarian of the Year Awards.
Each year, the Red Cross presents the Humanitarian of the Year and Young Humanitarian of the Year Awards to two Manitobans for their selfless dedication to helping people and making the world a better place. The Red Cross encourages Manitobans to nominate someone they feel is deserving of recognition because of their volunteer, charitable and philanthropic work.
"We encourage people to identify Manitobans who are doing inspiring things in our communities," said Shawn Feely, vice-president, Manitoba and Nunavut, Canadian Red Cross. "Our aim is to celebrate them and their work, and to inspire the humanitarian efforts of others."
Anyone wishing to nominate someone for one of the two awards can do so at the link below. The deadline to submit a nomination is Feb. 29, 2020.
