A number of Westman school divisions are working to provide remote learning for immunocompromised students, those who have family members who are immunocompromised, and have been medically advised not to attend school.

In an emailed news release, Brandon School Division says it has been collaborating with Mountain View, Park West, Rolling River, Southwest Horizon and Swan Valley, to provide staff members or financial resources so that students will be able to participate in remote learning during the pandemic. The new partnership between the school divisions will be called the Westman Consortia.

The divisions are now working to identify students and families, who would receive remote learning, and will then be contacting these families next week to formalize how the remote learning plan will look. They hope to begin on September 17th and 18th in a staggered start approach.

Parents in the Brandon School Division are encouraged to contact their school principal if they have any questions.
