Brandon police say on Wednesday morning, an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue reported a shirtless male was in the business causing a disturbance and stole some items.
The male suspect was located in the area of the business and found to be in possession of the stolen items as well as an expandable baton concealed on his person. The suspect was also found to be bound by a Release Order with a condition to not possess any weapons. A 45-year-old man was arrested for Theft Under $5000, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Release Order.

On Wednesday afternoon, Police responded to a residence in the west end of the city to conduct a well-being check on a female.
Officers located a male exiting the residence and learned that he was bound by a Court Order to not have any contact or communication with the female who was in the residence. A 46-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and further investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly assaulted the female victim by forcibly holding his forearm over her throat the night prior.
Police say the female victim did not receive physical injuries because of the assault.

Police report that a 31-year-old man from Brandon was arrested on Wednesday morning for having an outstanding Endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Failing to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking. Police say the suspect was released from Police custody to appear in Court later this month.

On Wednesday evening, Police observed a man walking in the 300 Block of 13th Street and were aware that he had an outstanding Endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Comply with a Court Order. The 46-year-old man from Brandon was arrested and released to appear in Court in August.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday night at his residence on an outstanding Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest for Theft Under $5000, Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Failing to Appear in Court.

At approximately 3:45 A.M., Brandon Police stopped a female in the 2700 Block of Victoria Avenue and discovered that she was bound by an Undertaking with a condition to obey a curfew. A 24-year-old Brandon woman was arrested and released; she is scheduled to appear in Court in September.

Brandon police also report one individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Police Service to be released once sober.
And two individuals were detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act. Both were lodged at the Police Service to be released once sober.
