On November 8, 2022, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Louise Avenue. Police say the driver was speeding through a school zone, and the 36-year-old man was also found to be prohibited from driving and was arrested. Police say the suspect was also found to be in possession of 2.5 ounces of Meth. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Drive Prohibited, Fail to Comply with Release Order X2, and CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth.

On November 9, 2022 shortly before 3:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Louise Avenue. Police say officers recognized items inside the vehicle that they knew to be stolen, and the driver and passenger were arrested. Police also say the 28-year-old male driver was in possession of a machete contrary to a court order not to possess any weapons. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Fail to comply with Release Order. The 30-year-old female passenger was later released and will appear in court on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime at a later date.

On November 9, 2022 shortly before 5:00 am, Brandon police came across two people allegedly stealing a bicycle from the back of a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Queens Avenue. Both individuals were arrested. A 24-year-old man will appear in court on January 9, 2023 on charges of Theft Under $5000, Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. A 19-year-old woman is to appear in court on January 9, 2023 on a charge of Theft Under $5000. The bicycle was returned to the owner.

On November 8, 2022, police responded to a report of a female causing a disturbance in a residence shortly after 6:00 am. They say family members were struggling to prevent her actions from escalating as she was under the influence of illicit drugs. A 30-year-old woman was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
