Upon arrival, police located a female victim who had been struck in the head with a bottle. An intoxicated 44-year-old man was arrested for Assault with a Weapon. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober. He will be released and scheduled to appear in court in February.

On January 17, 2023, police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 1st Street. Police say a 37-year-old male passenger provided a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid being arrested for breaching his curfew. Police were able to confirm his true identity and arrested the man for Public Mischief and Fail to Comply with a Release Order. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and is scheduled to appear in court today.
