Brandon Police received 6 reports of Break & Enters to sheds and garages that occurred sometime overnight between September 13th and 14th. The incidents occurred at the following locations:
-100 block of 3rd Street
-300 block of 3rd Street
-400 block of 3rd Street
-500 block of 2nd Street
-400 block of 11th Street
-300 block of 19th Street North
Police say items stolen from within these locations included bikes, tents, and tools. These incidents are still under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call BPS at 204-729-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 204-727-(TIPS) 8477.

At 10:53 am on September 14th, 2022, Brandon police were dispatched to do a well-being check at a residence in the 700’ block of 10th Street. A 56 year old man was found at the residence who was on conditions not to attend there. He was arrested and later released with a court date of November 14th, 2022.

On September 13th, 2022, a suspect pulled the fire alarm at a business in the 1500’ block of 18th Street when there was no reason to do so. The incident was captured on video and the suspect was later identified. On September 14th, the suspect, a 17 year old boy, was located at the business again and arrested. He was later released to an adult and given a court date of November 15th, 2022. Also with the youth was a 20 year old man who was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to attend. He was arrested and given a court date of November 10th, 2022.

At 8:30 pm on September 14th, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1700’ block of McGregor Avenue. Police say the driver, a 42 year old woman, was impaired. She was transported to BPS and provided samples of her breath over the legal limit. She was later released with a court date of September 22nd, 2022.

On August 28th, 2022, Brandon police received a complaint of a vehicle being entered and debit/credit cards being stolen from within. The cards were reportedly used throughout the city at various business. Police identified a 36 year old man who they say was responsible for some of the purchases. On September 15th, 2022, at 2:15am, a suspect was located in the 200’ block of 9th Street and arrested. He was given a court date of December 5th, 2022.
