On Monday, May 3 at around 3:50 am – Brandon police responded to a report from security that an individual had been observed in the Eastview Landfill
The Police Service Dog Unit was called to assist in locating the suspect, and after a short track by the K-9, a 43-year-old man was located and arrested. Police say he was carrying break-in tools, including wire cutters.
He was later released to appear in court on June 28, 2021 on a charge of Break and Enter and Possess Break-In Instruments.

On May 2, 2021, before noon police responded to reports of a man who had been causing problems at multiple locations. He was located in the area of 18th street and Princess Avenue throwing garbage around. The 29-year-old admitted to using meth earlier, which was causing his behavior to escalate. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On May 2, 2021 shortly before 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance in a residence by punching holes in the walls. The 28-year-old was intoxicated and others in the residence were unable to keep him from escalating. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
