Brandon University will re-open today (Tue Aug 16) under a boil water advisory that has been issued for part of the City of Brandon.
While water service has returned, low and intermittent pressure continues, and the boil water advisory is expected to continue for 24-48 hours. Until it is lifted:
o do not drink water from any campus sink, tap or fountain
o do not use campus water to wash food, to brush your teeth, or to make ice
The water remains safe for washing, including dishes and hand-washing, and washrooms are otherwise functional. Signs are being posted with additional information.
Food Services will be able to resume dinner service for residents Monday, and will be open for retail service Tuesday, with some limitations. In particular, items like fountain drinks and coffee will be unavailable during the boil water advisory.
When coming to campus, please bring your own water for drinking.
