The City of Brandon is recognizing Monday, September 19 as a day of mourning to honour Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
All non-essential government services and offices will be closed for the day. Hours of operation on Monday, September 19th include:
– Brandon City Hall (410-9th Street), A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue), and Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Avenue East) will be closed
– Eastview Landfill will be closed
– Brandon Transit will operate with regular hours from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
– Brandon’s Community Sportsplex will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. All regularly scheduled recreational programming activities will continue.
– Brandon’s Youth Centre will be open from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
– Brandon Municipal Cemetery is open to the public seven days a week from dawn to dusk. The Cemetery Office will be closed.

Brandon City Council has announced that the regularly scheduled meeting has been moved from Monday, September 19th, 2022 to Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
