Canada’s inflation rate hit 8.1% in June driven by surging gasoline prices.
Statistics Canada says gas prices were up 54.6% year-over-year – and 6.2% month-to-month in June.
Food prices were also up 8.8% – and many services cost more – restaurant dining, rent, and hotel rooms increased by 5.2%.
