If this happens to be your week of vacation (or one of the weeks of your summer vacation) you have hit the weather lottery! Thanks to some high pressure over the prairies this week, and a warm air mass parked over the prairies, this could be the ultimate week of the summer sunshine. Temps in the upper 20s/lower 30s for the week, with no end in sight! At this point in the forecast (as of Tuesday, July 27) this incredible weather goes right through till at least the August Long holiday Monday, or even LONGER according to Environment Canada.
So as you’ve been hearing messaging from the province to "get out and enjoy your backyard", let's enjoy Western Manitoba. Find some unique things to do that you never would have tried before. Fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, and of course, there’s the bevy of frozen treats that you MUST during a week like this. As they used to say at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot (one of the many events that have been shelved for the year) this week is..."The height of Summer". And indeed it is living up to that billing. If you’ve got any extra time to spend outside this is the week to do it enjoy.
