Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Westman

If you are working or spending time outdoors today bring lots of sunscreen and water!  Westman is under a heat warning.  Environment Canada says:

"A hot air mass will spread across southwestern Manitoba today. For the next two days, daytime highs will be in the low 30s and overnight lows will stay in the mid to high teens. Humidity will also be a concern with humidex values climbing to 40 on Friday.
A cooler airmass will move in on Saturday, bringing an end to the heat warning."

The Province of Manitoba recommends:
Check on family members, neighbors, and friends-especially older adults and those with chronic conditions. Visiting is best because it is easier to identify signs of heat illness that could be missed over the phone.
Never leave people or pets in your care alone in closed vehicles or direct sunlight.
