Not what we need, but here are BOTH current weather warnings...

So we started with a "Heat Warning" which is still active.  Now Environment Canada has added a "Severe Thunderstorm Watch" to the list of warnings for Brandon, Minnedosa, Carberry, Neepawa, Riding Mountain, and surrounding areas.

The public alert on EC says "Conditions are favorable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail, and torrential rain.  Severe thunderstorms associated with a low-pressure system currently in North Dakota are expected to push northwards into Canada by early this afternoon. Large hail, torrential downpours, and damaging wind gusts will be associated with the strongest of these thunderstorms."

If you are looking for sand, or sandbags in the City of Brandon, they are available at the Civic Services Centre.
