Hometown product Courtney Roberts will be plying her trade with the Brandon University women’s volleyball team moving forward.
The former Crocus Plainsmen high school star is transferring to BU after playing in the NCAA ranks with the South Dakota State University.
"We’re very excited that Courtney chose to come home. We were disappointed when she left, a local athlete with that much talent. That fact that she’s decided to come back and be a part of Brandon volleyball is exciting. She will really help, she can play multiple positions and has good experience and is very dynamic," coach Lee Carter told CKLQ’s Tyler Crayston. "She is a very positive, upbeat person. She looks to make people around her better and that’s the kind of athletes that we want."
In her rookie year with the Jackrabbits, she was on third on the team in kills and hitting percentage this past season.
She’ll be entering the upcoming Canada West campaign as a sophomore with the Lady ‘Cats.
