The Sher-Wood Division Survivor Series starts Tuesday night in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are visiting the OCN Blizzard with the winner of the best-of-three set moving on to meet the Dauphin Kings.
"If we play our game, work hard, play a full 60 minute game and play with a lot of emotion and intensity I’m confident we can move on," said Wolverines’ captain and Brandonite Andrew Clark on CKLQ’s Monday Sports Talk this week, "It’s going to be a challenge; they’re a good hockey club up there. It’s not an easy task, but we’re looking forward to it."
The Wolverines went 18-39-3 during regular season to finish fifth in the Sher-Wood and split their eight head-to-head meetings with the Blizzard.
"It’s a whole new ball game," said Clark. "It’s kind of a new brand new season and every team is different than how they were back in October. You don’t win a championship in October or December. Really at the end of day it’s a new series and two different teams."
Game #2 is set for Thursday night in Waywayseecappo.
