Manitoba curling standout Chelsea Carey is on the move and is taking her talents to Edmonton to skip a new team.
Carey’s lineup includes Laura Crocker at third and Jen Gates at lead while the remaining roster spot has yet to be filled.
Crocker is a former world junior silver medalist and competed at the Roar of the Rings pre-trials in November.
The rink will make their debut at a World Curling Tour event later this month in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
"This is an amazing opportunity for me to curl with Laura, who is one of the great young players in Canada," said Carey in a media release. "It was a privilege to play with my team in Winnipeg. I had an amazing experience with Kristy McDonald, Kristen Foster and Lindsay Titheridge, and I am truly grateful for the wonderful years I spent with them and the accomplishments we shared."
Carey won her first Manitoba Scotties title in January in Virden and went on to capture a national bronze medal.
