The Chicago Bears have brought back veteran defensive lineman Israel Idonije.
The former Brandonite and Vincent Massey Vikings’ grad signed a one-year free agent deal with the Bears on Tuesday, reportedly work $955,000.
Idonije played the first nine years of his career with Chicago before spending last season with the Detroit Lions.
The 33-year-old recorded 11 tackles and 1/2 a sack in 15 games last season with the Lions.
During his run with the Bears from 2004 to 2012, Idonije played in 134 games (50 starts), recording 196 tackles and 28.5 sacks.
