Hockey Canada’s management group for the IIHF World Hockey Championship includes familiar faces.
Brandonite Ron Hextall and fellow former Wheat King Brad Treliving will be working alongside general manager Rob Blake at the tournament in Belarus in May.
Hextall joined the Philadelphia Flyers as assistant GM and director of hockey operations this year, after spending seven seasons in the LA Kings front office and helping the team win a Stanley Cup in 2012.
Meanwhile, Treliving is in his seventh season as assistant GM of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Internationally, Hextall represented Canada at the 1992 world championship while Treliving was part of the management group with the Canadian squad at the 2013 Spengler Cup.
