Brandon’s Lois Fowler remains tied for top spot at the Canadian Senior Women’s Curling Championship in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
Fowler improved to 8-and-1 with a pair of wins Wednesday, downing Quebec’s Catherin Derick 10-9 in an extra end and defeating the Northwest Territories’ Ann McKellar-Gillis 10-3.
The Manitoba champs are tied with Saskatchewan’s Lorraine Arguin for first-place heading into their final two round-robin games Thursday.
Meanwhile, Neepawa’s Kelly Robertson is tied for second-place in the the Senior Men’s standings.
Robertson improved to 7-and-2 with an 8-6 win over Quebec’s Denis Laflamme and an 11-6 victory over the Northwest Territories Glen Hudy Wednesday.
Nova Scotia’s Alan O’Leary leads the way with an 8-and-1 record with the Manitoba champs tied with Northern Ontario’s Robbie Gordon for second-place.
