The Vincent Massey Vikings’ duo of Katherine Lee and Olivia Pieroni captured the Girls’ doubles title Saturday at the Provincial High School Badminton Championship.
The Brandonites defeated a Westwood duo 21-13, 21-18 in the final, claiming Vincent Massey’s first Provincial Badminton Championship since 2001 and first Girls’ doubles title in 22 years.
Sonya Laroque and Krista Grieve of Virden won the bronze medal in Girls’ doubles, the only other Westman athletes to reach the podium.
