Canada’s national volleyball teams improved to 2-0 at the world qualifying tournament in Mississauga on Saturday.
Dauphin’s Tabi Love had 20 kills as the Canadian women’s team beat Mexico in four sets.
Set scores were 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 25-16.
On the men’s side, Brandon’s Dustin Schneider, Rivers product Toon (tone) Van Lankvelt and the rest of the men’s team took out Trinidad and Tobago in straight sets.
Set scores 25-23, 25-11, 25-21.
The tournament continues Sunday and concludes Monday with Canada looking to secure spots to the 2014 world championship in Poland and Italy.
