The Dauphin Kings are out of the running at the RBC Cup National Junior ‘A’ Hockey Championship after dropping a 5-3 decision against the Carleton Place Canadians in Saturday’s semifinal.
Brandon’s Brayden Cuthbert and Souris’ Tanner Butler scored for the Kings, while Killarney’s Jesse Bernard had a pair of assists for Dauphin.
In other other semifinal, the Yorkton Terriers doubled the host Vernon Vipers 6-3 to advance.
The Terriers, who are coached by Medora’s Trent Cassan and have Russell’s Derek Falloon on the roster, take on the Canadians for the top prize on Sunday.
