I have a question for anyone attending BU or ACC right now? This is gonna seem like a weird question but stick with me here. Are any of your teachers, teaching from beyond the grave? I came across a story this morning about a guy studying art history at Concordia University in Montreal and he just found out that his professor passed away two years ago, but still teaches the course.
It’s all done by video, so until he reached out to ask a question over email, he never knew. Imagine the surprise he got when found his prof’s obituary instead of his email. How do you ask a question to a teacher you didn’t know was long gone? Does the Ouija board come out? Do you contact the family and see if he left some kind of FAQ sheet with potential questions and their answers? No probably not. I’m sure someone has to be handling this kind of stuff since the professor physically can’t. I guess it might not be the weirdest thing. I mean you could easily watch a movie or tv show with someone that’s passed away and you wouldn’t know until you look it up
You can’t replace a dead actor in an old movie, but even in death, teachers are still teaching. That’s good job security!
