Mr. Potato Head is getting a new name!
Hasbro announced a couple of days ago that Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head are going to be renamed ‘Potato Head’. They are dropping the Mr. and Mrs. for a more gender-neutral approach
The reaction on Social Media has been… lets say mixed. Some people on Twitter saying
- “Get woke, go broke. It’s Mr. Potato Head…period.
- “Why the hell don’t y’all just create another character instead of RUINING THE ONES WE LOVE. I swear this generation is dammed”
I think the only people who can be offended are the Irish! Hasbro has still not acknowledged the Irish potato famine of 1845! Pretty insensitive of them to use a Potato while knowing what the Irish people went through
I say this is a good move. I honestly didn’t know the ‘Potato Head’s’ were real toys. I only thought they were in Toy Story. This is the most marketing they’ve had in a long time.
