Having a baby is a wonderfully exciting time for parents! You start picking out names, announcing the pregnancy to friends and family, start shopping for the essentials and teeny tiny socks. Then maybe you find out the sex of the baby. Do you plan on a big “gender reveal party”? Personally, I do not mind the gender announcements I see on social media. A sweet photo of the parents announcing if it is a boy or a girl. What I do not understand, are the giant obnoxious parties that end in injury/death, forest fires and litter. I have seen pictures posted online from the Brandon Hills showing the leftover garbage of a gender reveal party. Don’t get me wrong, have your party, celebrate your child, but be smart about it. This past February two people died from trying to do extreme gender reveals. Is there a line that people should avoid crossing when it comes to these parties?
